                                      Archana Yadav you could possibly swap the eggs for aquafaba and then increase the coconut oil a bit to compensate for the loss of fat in the egg yolk? The egg is acting as a binder and volumizer here, so I don’t think a flax egg would work.

                                            I made this cake last Saturday for a good friend that loves coconut, we thought it was lovely! Great instructions and easy to follow, awesome taste! And I am not a fan of coconut 🤭 thank you Claire!

                                                Can you use almond flour or almond meal instead of the ground up almonds?

                                                  The measurements would be different, but it should work if you measure by weight. Essentially you're creating a coarse almond flour by grinding the almonds; I'd recommend almond meal over almond flour since flour won't have the right mouth-feel in the finished product. I tested this recipe on my channel a few weeks ago and included measurements by weight in case it's helpful!

                                                                        Love the recipe and content, but BA PLEASE add metric measurements to your recipe pages and maybe annotations in videos. You have an audience outside of the US that doesn't use ounces or Fahrenheit (I'm from Australia).

                                                                            This cake is great although I did cut out some ingredients.
                                                                            Didnt use coconut oil at all in the cake.
                                                                            Used almond flour and I 'toasted it' in a sheet pan (1 and 1/4 cup). Mixed that with salt/cocunut shred.

                                                                            1/2 cup of cocoa with just enough hot water to paste instead of all the chocolate chips.

                                                                            4 eggs seperated, foamed egg whites till soft peaks with half a cup of white sugar. Half brown mixed with yolks. Mixed yolks with flour first with the chocolate then folded in egg whites.

                                                                            Threw some dark chocolate chips in there. Thats it baked for 35 mins.

                                                                            The ganache heated 1/4 coconut oil with 1/4 almond milk with 1 table maple. Spilled it on 1/2 cup dark choc ships (sprinkled some salt). This stays syrupy..nice for rippling on cake.

                                                                            Main reason for all this?. Too much fat gerds me badly :(. Besides clean up is so easy lol.
