Join Carla Music in the Bon Appétit Test Kitchen as she makes meatball subs! We like the combo of spicy and sweet Italian sausage, but use any uncooked sausage you like—merguez or chorizo would work.

Pesto on a meatball sub.
No thanks.
"Paste is such an ugly word." I couldn't agree more Carla.
I need a sound byte of the sizzling meatballs to use for my bedtime white noise
Carla always burning her buns 🙄
Chris is like their god at Bon Appetit
browning that cheese would of brought a whole new level, shame you missed it.
Carla always burns the buns lol
We need more mukbang scenes on Bon Appetit videos
You'd think that an intelligent person would have the intelligence to see that they are in fact intelligent.......
Dunning–Kruger effect, smart people realize there is so much they don't know and it is overwhelming. Dumb people don't realize there is so much more to learn and assume they know most of what they in fact know very little about.
This is how Chris' show started!

She is hilarious
I've torched my buns a few times before. Taught me to watch anything under a broiler like a hawk.
Says "classic meatball shape" in Italian accent. Meatballs aren't a thing here in Italy. We call them polpette but they're not common in restaurants.
I don't know why but I just understand Carla so much. I just get her.
Squozen is a perfectly cromulent word
I like that they showed Carla burn the buns. This kind of stuff happens - so you shouldn't feel bad if you do it. Even the pros do!
Her last name is music?
dont have any food so I'm watching this and pretending like I'm eating haha
wait that sounds really dire I just mean I need to go grocery shopping
I need a compilation of all the times Carla burnt her buns cause her reaction is too funny
I guess american garlic is very mild because I see people using a lot of cloves of it in Italian american recipes. I live in Italy and I just used 2 cloves otherwise it would have tasted only like garlic. I love italoamerican food but I always have to forget some cloves out of the pot
I cannot stop watching all these food videos. I love how you can almost taste it through the screen.
Ironically all I have eaten in the last two years is microwaved..
He did tell ya not to burn the buns lol
I love Carla
For me, meatballs have to be ground beef, with bread crumbs and seasoning. With an appropriate red sauce. And melted cheese on the top of it. Even though pork is meat. If I want sausage subs, I'll just cook the sausage, put it in the roll with some peppers and onions on top of it.
Poor Carla... Always burning the buns 😂
"13th Angry Meatball" hahaha, tell me Seth Rogan is working on an upcoming sequel to "Sausage Party".
ad heavy,.. very annoying
no nuts. no pesto
Chris getting shy about being a super taster is so cute!! 😂❤️
Came for the food, stayed for the Old European Cut Edwardian engagement ring.
no one:
everyone in the BA test kitchen: "it needs more salt"
"Sorry Tommy"
*The 13th meatball has left the chat*
Why on earth not just cut out the burnt portion of the hoagie bun with a knife or scissors? That burned bread will ruin the sandwich, yet it can be salvaged. I'm shocked the didn't do anything about it.
Im sure they did that off camera. No one would throw away a perfectly good loaf of bread.
He’s like the living version of the god tongue Erina of shokugeki no soma lol
Cheese first my boy bingey gets it
Carla dispensing life wisdom disguised as cooking tips as always. The best.
2:27 to 2:40 😂 that’s also so me
