Put a couple more linemen over the center, and bum rush the qb before he can start screaming for mommy.

Easy to over analyze the play but watch the center. Leaving one lineman gaurding two defendes never works out. But the center went left and the kicker ran left which left an obstacle for ungaurded #54 to work around.

If either 94 or 55 would have stayed back with the kicker this would have been a busted play

LOL we ran this same play back when I played pop warner. You could pass to the left, pass to the right, or run up the middle based on how the defense reacted to it. Most just stood there really confused. Lolololol

Poor special teams coaching, number 55 should have hit the kicker hard on the line of scrimmage, if a kicker blocks or tries to go out it doesn't matter because defenders should knock him out literally because a team without a kicker is easier to defend, Miami's special teams coaching staff should be fired for using or risking a kicker this way, guy should have bruised if not broken ribs and a hurt kicking leg and kicking or plant foot

I remember running this play in College.It was kind of selly ,crazy play.But it worked thirty five years ago.

We called this formation Pole Cat, the team used it as a variation of the Wildcat. You can literally do anything out of this formation
