                                          I love getting the lessons on dried chilies, how to buy packaged tortillas, tips like getting the can taste out of hominy.
                                          I live in a small town and all we have are these terrible “Mexican” restaurants. I can’t even buy most of the ingredients in my area. I have to drive 2 hours to get it. But every time it has been so worth it.
                                          I grew up in a Mexican household, these videos help me bring the same food to my children.

                                                No Chris. I get the flirting but dont start adding imaginary ingredients to a main dish. Beans do not go in this dish and it is NO WHERE near the category of chile.

                                                          One thing I highly recommend with this recipe is to simmer the chili puree, separately, for 45-60 minutes to cook off the raw chili taste a little.

Finally.....I stumbled upon this video....the town where I used to live had the best Chile Colorado...I used to eat there just about weekly.....then I moved away...and where I am at now...they just don't get it .... so I decided to make it myself....thank you Rick....this recipe is the way I remember it....now I have the recipe!                                                                                 Deeply tasty results from a pretty simple recipe. You can add even more delicious chiliness and some heat to it by adding 3-4 few chipotles in adobo plus some of the sauce from the can before blending

                                                                                                I love this chili sauce. My mom makes this dish but she also makes her enchiladas with this sauce its freaking fantastic. The sauce is very versatile and there is always a jar of it in the fridge to add to any dish we wanted.
