          You cant make perfect "TACHIN" if you dont ask a persian and if you dont have nice smell of persian rice and persian saffron.If you have Iranian saffron, you dont need to use this huge amount of it! And you dont have right reciepe too!So your saffron rice wont be the best. I promise!

                          I eat Kosher, and by kosher you can't have meat and dairy together. So I have to eliminate Yogurt and butter. So, what can I subsidies them with.

                                          my friends grandma made this for us and I swear i want to marry her but she's already married. So, Im here learning to make it for myself. she prepared this with a lamb stew type dish and omg I was dying with every bite!!! Ive never had food so delicious!!!

                                                                I've made this a few times and it has always been a successful showstopper! The ingredients are very straightforward. Ok, I screamed a bit at the amount of saffron needed. But, the reactions you'd get would be so worth it. 

                                                                I've made a savoury version of this (with roasted veggies instead of barberries) and it tasted f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c. Now, with Andy's semi-fruity version with the barberries, it went very well with spicy food. This recipe us highly recommended!

                                                                          Sheesh - all the idiotic comments below and no one looks to have actually made the dish. Mine was way wetter when I mixed it all together, but regardless, I don't think I parboiled the rice long enough because it was still undone after an hour and a quarter (it was really undone and really salty). It dawned on me later that my issue is that I used brown basmati rice and, thus, needed to parboil it longer (just as one does with brown vs. white rice when cooking it)?? I added some more water to it and put it back in the oven - it never really did cook all the way, through. This was a bit of a bust with my wastage of expensive saffron. Will try again.

                                                                              I made this for the first time today and omg its delicious! The rosewater, saffron, tangy fruit wow. One question only, my rice "cake" got more crumbly, it wasn't as firm as yours... Do you know why that happened?

                                                                                  A very good friend of mine is from Iran and gifted me some saffron from her home country. I've been looking for a dish to make using that gift for both of us to enjoy and I think this is the perfect choice!!

                                                                                        3:43 Bro, that is a big no-no and really disgusting. You don't put a grain of rice in your mouth with your FINGERS and then continue on as if everything is normal. Very unprofessional. You act like those Mexicans who have Hotdog stands around night clubs in and around Los Angeles.
