The cattiness is a bit off-putting... If it had been comical in any way, I would completely understand that it was included for entertainment value. But it wasn’t funny & honestly shouldn’t have taken place in a video meant to show viewers how to cook. Just seems like the ENTIRE video was about the drama rather than the actual cooking. If I wanted to watch someone rant, complain, & argue about/with their coworkers for almost 12 minutes, I would have clicked on a drama channel’s video, not a recipe one.

Things I want in a pot pie: potatoes, peas, carrots, chicken, mushrooms, onion, garlic, rosemary, cream, chicken, butter, flaky crust. Oven char the carrots, par boil the tatoes, saute whole tiny mushrooms, and don't skimp on the cream sauce

wait a second... all of your gripe with carrots is that they turn to mush. But then, the exact same technique you use on the turnips could be used on the carrots to prevent that sogginess!

Carrots are not "sweet mush" as you mused. They are a beautiful color and if cooked properly are tender and delicious! To each his/her own, but, replacing carrots with turnips might be the conversation piece for all the wrong reasons.

I LOVE turnip but I side on the carrot side, they add color and a bit of sweetness. Turnips can overpower a dish like this. Kudos to Molly for making it her recipe though!! I know I would eat every single serving she dished out of this chicken pot pie :)

Turnips are garbage vegetables that are only good for growing in the fall when the frost would kill the carrots and potatoes that any rational person would prefer to have in their chicken pot pie.

Even though you can still buy it almost everywhere in Germany, you hardly ever find it on a restaurant menu. There are some chefs who focus on regional cuisine who've re-introduced the turnip , but other than that it seems to have developped a poor animal fudder kind of image. My grandma used to make a very flavourful turnip one-pot which, if I remember it correctly, was based on a beef broth and featured few ingredients and spices, among which where speck, potatoes, and parsley. It's a great vegetable, simple but deep, if you treat it thoughtfully, that is. Also, it's flavourful enough to feature in a vegetarian one-pot, or a mash even (mixed with potatoes). Long live the turnip!

You ditched carrots but kept peas!?? :'(

Was parsnip considered as a sub for carrot & turnip, or does it get too soft, too, in your opinion?

Also seems like a TON of cream, instead of less cream and some broth for liquid. Was that simply b/c of the 10 ingredient limitation?
