                                                Pretty disappointed. I thought it'd be the ultimate guide I was looking for. It promised to teach how to bake a cake, but actually is a heavily edited, at time super fast, demo of how Claire does it, but it is quite hard to follow (mainly because the editing is so fast). Also, the fact that she speaks fast it wouldn't be a problem if we had on screen the ingredients, step by step. It's all a blur, found myself going back and forth, trying to figure out the quantities, the textures one is supposed to get, the times... to no avail.
                                                As a beginner, making your first cake is like getting on a stick car for the first time. This video does not really speak to beginners. makes it look easy, but if you know how to do it... :(

                                                                                  I love baking and I learned today that I usually over mix my batter! I had no idea you could over mix cake batter (despite knowing this about flaky pastries, pies, frosting and whipped cream). I guess I just didn't know what an over mixed cake looked like, until now.
