                            I never knew you can make kvass like this, In Lithuania or more like the Baltics, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland and so on and so on, kvass is made from rye bread, you can add stuff to put your own spin on it, but the base more or less stays the same. But hey this is really interesting and i would love to try it some day.

                                                        Russian girl who grew up with kvass here. Most of the time I drink storebought and sometimes grandma's homemade kvass. I've never heard of beet kvass before. I like the plain stuff, which is made with rye bread and raisins, and I've tried some storebought kvass with black currants (awesome even though I don't really like blacl currants), ginger (tasted more like beer to me), and honey (very similar to the usual kind). Now I want some kvass...
